Focus and Scope
The Journal of School and Learning Ecosystem Empowerment (JSLEE) focuses exclusively on the dissemination of community service projects, participatory action research (PAR), service-learning, and community-based interventions (CBR) that have been implemented in formal and non-formal educational settings. This journal serves as a dedicated platform for academics and practitioners to publish the results of outreach programs, mentoring, and empowerment practices designed to solve practical problems, enhance stakeholder capacity, and transform learning ecosystems to make them more adaptive, inclusive, and effective for the community.
To ensure that submitted manuscripts demonstrate a commitment to service and do not overlap with basic research studies published in other journals, the scope of JSLEE is limited to the following areas of implementation:
(1) Professional Mentoring and Capacity Building for Educators; Reports on training activities, workshops, and structured mentoring for teachers, lecturers, or counselors in implementing new curricula, innovative pedagogical methods, and workplace stress management in the field.
(2) Empowerment of School, Family, and Community Partnerships; Social intervention practices involving psychoeducation for parents (such as digital parenting), strengthening the role of school committees, and collaboration among the three pillars of education to build the resilience of the student learning ecosystem.
(3) School Climate and Community Counseling Interventions; Implementation of anti-bullying campaigns, training in classroom emotional regulation, development of assertive character traits (such as bystander intervention initiatives), and school-based mental health support.
(4) Digital Literacy Outreach and Applied Technology Adaptation; Community service activities focused on training in the use of educational technology, cyber ethics education, and digital literacy support for the school community to bridge the technology access gap.
(5) Empowerment of the Non-Formal and Informal Education Ecosystem; Service-learning programs and social initiatives targeting Community Learning Centers (PKBM), training institutions, orphanages, or lifelong learning communities for marginalized groups.
(6) Ecological Initiatives and Sustainable School Development; Applied initiatives involving the active participation of students and teachers in green school programs, integrated waste management at schools, and student-led community-based environmental awareness campaigns.
(7) Student Leadership Training and Peer Counseling; Direct mentoring programs designed to develop life skills, foster student conflict resolution, and empower peer tutors or counselors within educational institutions.
